I love the idea of a man with a giant beard, who ran through back pain on medication because he didn’t want to be a “mincing weasel”, whose nickname sounds like an East end gangster, and whose end of race party was headlined by a punk rock band from Tunbridge Wells chose a strawberry daiquiri — what, in the 90s*, we would call a pink girl drink — as his finishing treat. Fantastic.

Geezer in UK slang doesn’t imply age but rather means something like “good guy” or “cool guy”. We used to call each other “geezer” when I was in university!
