> a fully automated news platform powered entirely by generative AI

My first reaction to this was "fuck no", I don't need more news, nor more generative AI content. However, I do think there is potential for de-sensationalising mainstream news. What I would like to see on a platform like this is some ability to customize the filters and output. For example, I would love the ability to filter out certain overly-sensationalized topics, like "Trump" or "covid" or "Gaza", filter out news about "x politician says y controversial thing", or customize which news sources are used as input to remove ones that don't meet my standards for journalistic integrity.

Also, while the interface is clean and well-designed, the homepage is visually indistinguishable from a news content-farm, which automatically makes me skeptical of the quality of the content. I need more visual cues that I am the one in control of what I am seeing here, and that there are no subtle, hidden biases being snuck in. While it might work for an initial release, after awhile the "just trust us, this is what's important, and no advertisers, politicians, or tech companies are controlling the algorithm" isn't enough. Give me UI controls that keep me in control. Give me a list view and easy access to filters and sorting.
