There is a limit on raising the price of ski resorts. Because it will easily exceeds the cost of flying to Japan which has a better snow anyway.
In the long term, ski/snowboard culture in US will die because there is no newcomers. A complete beginner never tries it if it costs a 10K USD to experience just one day.
Absolutely. It's the same here. Have been a few times to snowboarding. Our snow is also right good in the Alps.
But stopped it because of the fees and prices. It's not like I can't afford, it's more like "destroy the nature AND Pay a lot for it" - it should be otherwise!
