Robert Fripp Announces King Crimson Supergroup Beat (faroutmagazine.co.uk)

Adrian Belew is pretty awesome. If you're not familiar with his work, he worked alongside Carey and Fripp on Belews' album "side three".

You may also not be aware of his work, but really just don't know: he played lead guitar on a couple tracks of THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL in studio sessions. Happy 30th anniversary, TDS.

Effectively intimidated and threw off the touring band enough to get ousted by "Trent's bandmates" from the 2013 tour. [1]

He got about; Eno, Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Talking Heads, Zappa, Tom Tom Club, ... it's a long long list.

Saw somewhere else a comment saying something along the lines that although King Crimson is pretty much a creation from Fripp and you have to respect that he gave them his endorsement, his suggestion for the band's name ('Beat') is pretty unimaginative. 'Indiscipline' would've been way more cool.

Good to hear, though you have to be pretty old to care.

I moderate a KC community. There's a lot of young people who like them.

I am in my 30s and I care. I feel old enough already, no need to make it worse :|

I'm 17 and King Crimson is one of my favourite bands, and I know other people at school who like them so you'd probably be surprised.

I'm in mid 30s and a KC fan. KC is like Zappa or Les Claypool, a bit of acquired taste.
