Chickens have a broader range of input feeds, and turn that into human edible calories much more quickly and probably more efficiently.

True, but so do most wild animals. Once domesticated and bred for taste and size, it might be amazing.

Depends on the taste. If it's as good as unagi (Japanese eel), I don't think people would have that much of a problem with it.
