Show HN: I made a node-based procedural art plugin for Figma [video] (youtube.com)

Been working on this for about three years now, and it's finally becoming a useful product. Still a long way to go, and just as much determination. :)

This is Blender's geometry nodes but for Figma. I tried to represent as much of Figma as I could as nodes. It's great for automating repetitive placement, especially if you need complex variation.

For example, one of my users is automating line placement for digital notebook templates.

Another is making NFTs. Generator is great for generative art, as there is a lot of random goodness that can be made when you can create vector curves etc procedurally.

Another thing this is good for is simple data visualization, ad you can fetch text data from the web, parse CSV and JSON, convert between types etc., and apply those values to shapes.

The advantage is that the results are all editable native Figma objects right on the canvas, including things like skewed text.

Big props on this; great project, and the tutorial really showing off it's power. Would love to be able to use this outside of Figma one day.
