Comparison to ChatGPT (3.5, not even 4), using the exact same prompt:

Comparing the negative impacts of Elon Musk tweeting memes and Adolf Hitler is like comparing apples and oranges. The scale and consequences of their actions are vastly different.

Adolf Hitler, as the leader of Nazi Germany, was responsible for orchestrating one of the most catastrophic events in human history—the Holocaust, which led to the genocide of six million Jews, as well as millions of other innocent people, including Romani people, disabled individuals, and political dissidents. Hitler's actions during World War II resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of people, widespread destruction, and immense suffering across the globe.

On the other hand, while Elon Musk's tweets may sometimes be controversial or have consequences, they do not remotely approach the level of harm caused by Hitler's actions. Musk's tweets, even if ill-considered or problematic, are not comparable to the systematic genocide and destruction perpetrated by Hitler and the Nazi regime.

In summary, Adolf Hitler's negative impact on society, both in terms of scale and severity, far surpasses anything Elon Musk's tweets could achieve.

Perhaps language models are equivocal about these things because of how they've been trained to avoid taking sides, political correctness, etc.

Seems to lack common sense.

Google has a bad LLM and I'm happy people widely recognize this and might be curious to inquire further into why, but idk if cherry-picking responses furthers the discussion in any way.

EDIT: I collected 3 "thats an inappropriate comparison", and now it just refuses haha, nothing like an HN headline..."I'm a language model and don't have the capacity to help with that."
