Car industry was warned keyless vehicles vulnerable to theft a decade ago (theguardian.com)

I don’t know, when I damaged the keyfob from my 2009 Jaguar, I tried Flipper Zero, I tried more and more questionable devices from Aliexpress, but I couldn’t clone my own key from its chip (the buttons were not working, though).

Perhaps I would be luckier if the buttons were working (so the software could record the actual exchange), but I doubt it. Without the key at all, it would be impossible of course.

So at the end, I had to pay $1800 for the new keyfob and car reprogramming. What a waste.
