We are rapidly getting to the point where all published knowledge is dubious.

If you can't depend on knowledge to be accurate, the system will fail. *

In one sense, that is a very good thing. Poor systems need to disappear.

* As a very silly example: You look to a manual to find out what fuel your car requires. It states that fuel with an octane rating of 50 is perfect for your new Ford 150. So you put that fuel in your vehicle. Happy motoring!
