I looked through the results, they seem relevant but I didn't see any images of a crashing train. Maybe you will have better luck since you have an idea of what you're looking for.

Also, HN has its own search engine at: https://hn.algolia.com

This allows you to search for specific content types (Stories, Comments, Ask HN, etc.) and optionally specify a date range.

I tried with a couple terms on hn's own search engine. I think I'm missing some terms that it used originally.
