Ask HN: Hardware for Arducam Pi Hawk-eye (arducam.com)

I have one of these cameras and the Pi4b. It's just not powerful enough and I'm unsure if the Pi5b would be either and here in Australia - no supply in sight after waiting what 6months now?

I asked Arducam support and they said they do not know of any hardware to support the camera's maximum capabilities. I don't want to chain 4 together, I want a single camera performing as well as it can.

I have the pi4b on a gen4 nvme ssd via usb and streaming to network seemed the fastest - but the hardware cannot perform. I have a home network with 2.5 w/2* 10gb so the network shouldn't be problem with the right hardware and I'd like to push the camera to it's capabilities maximum.

Any hackers here used the Hawk-eye with non-raspberry hardware? Perhaps even just mount the camera to an HDMI interface board?

Pity to have such hardware and then find out you cannot use it.
