I declined IBEW foreman status, simply because +10% pay (effectively +15%, with benefits) wasn't worth the hassle of managing us idiots -VS- just being well-paid worker-bee.

I have nevered envied "Bossman."


I’m a little confused by this, 38% DO want to be managers. Is it a pyramid, so you can’t even have the majority become managers so this feels like supply is matching demand?


I wouldn't mind being a manager. My dad was a manager and I learned a lot from him.
