Sad to say, but I've also found this useful off-line. Especially when trying to get basic short answers out of people who suffer from poorly organized mental processes. Or who are just in love with the sound of their own voice.


But are you doing this even with people close to you? (relateds, coworkers, etc.)

I would have expected this to fail with people you know, as they have a much greater chance to detect when you say something wrong purposefully.


Less with such people...mostly. There are non-neurotypicals who both realize that they have a problem, and want to be bumped out of their compulsive monologues.
