Ah, when I was using Unity I would often buy items I could have built myself even though they were open source, for several reasons:

- only so many hours in the day - it's nice to pay people for things they work on - stable release version

I'm thankfully not using Unity any more. Watched the recent installs cluster** from a bemused distance.




I would wage against it. It's as shitty as Blockbuster. No reason they won't end up selling for peanuts
