You should release the data. It was all public information to begin with, and it has clear historical value in tracking trends like BLM, Ukraine, or cryptocurrency. You could very easily write a paper just on any one of those.

Curious to know what kinds of companies these were, and more on how that monetisation path came about. I.e. did you realise you could sell the data first, or just heard from these companies out of the blue? I also wonder how privacy played into the equation?
