A marvelous specimen. A souvenir and a remnant of the yesteryear of the Internet.

Okay, I overplayed it a bit.

But, honestly, I mean it: it is a great example of what happens when people care about their cause. Words fail me to praise this enough.

I probably saw this first on HN, but here is is anyway: The 404 page for the Catholic diocese of Pittsburgh features the Catholic patron saint of lost items:

Another fun 404 page about economics is used by the Financial Times: https://www.ft.com/hn404

"Words fail us" Even in time of despair they found the right way to be literal

Pretty cool. Here's another interesting 404 page: https://blog.javascripttoday.com/notfound :)

Right now, somewhere, an engineer is investing an unusual amount of 404's :)

They changed it, but my all time favorite is probably the one Bloomberg once had. It had a gif of a guy in a suit in front of a computer falling apart (the guy!).

Interesting side note, my new browser (Brave for windows) had a prompt to check the wayback machine for this page. Never experienced this before.

Neat to know, thanks!

Cute
