I'm sorry, it seems the web archive trick can't sidestep the paywall on this one. But I was able to read it in the original site. Probably they limit after a number x of articles read, instead of slamming one's face against the paywall on first visit.
I noticed that articles in favour of one side are flagged too, while this one [0] in favour of the other side mysteriously seems not to be.
I have a lot of respect for Paul Graham who founded this site (increased by [1]) and the moderators too but the user community confuses me sometimes because sometimes replies that are downvoted quite a bit eventually get a total positive score.
You might be right about that. I had that impression mentioned in my previous comment because, while browsing HN, I saw 1 pro-Israel article that was unflagged and multiple (probably about 3) pro-Palestine articles that were flagged. That was enough to create an impression but is not a great sample size for a generalisation though.
I recall this article we're all commenting on being flagged too, but now it's unflagged for whatever that is worth (likely a sign of diversity of viewpoints on HN).
