Hi HN,
Today we’re launching a Zenfetch (https://zenfetch.com) a chrome extension to allow people to curate links and turn them into an AI-powered personal knowledge assistant.
Why we built this:
- We spent a ton of time reading (or writing) content but felt like most of it was going in one ear and out the other.
- We never revisited our bookmarks or notes, even though there was relevant information there.
- Most save-for-later tools were good at saving but not at resurfacing.
How it works:
1. Click the Zenfetch icon in a tab to save any PDF, YouTube video, article, email, forum post, and more.
2. Zenfetch retrieves the text or transcript content from the browser tab and indexes that information in the cloud.
3. Use the dashboard or side panel in chrome to search or chat with your knowledge base.
Unlike most save-for-later tools, Zenfetch doesn't just store your links. It uses GPT-4 to interact with your saved content, answering questions, generating fresh content, brainstorming ideas, and finding patterns. For instance, Zenfetch helped draft this very post based on some articles we’ve read for HN launches.
Zenfetch offers a 2-week trial to get started and then converts to $14.99/month.
Our vision is to build a proactive knowledge assistant that provides the perfect context at the right time. We’re just getting started and would love to hear your feedback!
