That's usually what happens when companies are on their last legs. They do anything they can to make things seem new and exciting when they really aren't.

Remember when X was Twitter? and Metaverse was FaceBook?

I wonder why companies go out of their way to change well-known brands and logos to something unrecognisable to most of the world.

Just awful. Why are they inventing their own terrible fonts? Why are UX (or font designers) still not understanding that L != I?
