I was used to taking notes in text files (something to discuss in my next 1-1, tweet ideas, etc.), and I wanted to create a command bar app so I could quickly take notes from anywhere while I'm working, without going to manually open the file and thus be able to stay focused on my task. I also wanted to automatically attach the timestamp to each note to help me remember when I added it for context.
Here are some use cases:
- Save highlights of the week for the next 1-1 or retro
- Log the things you do during the day and see where you spend your time
- Time tracking
- Journaling
- Step-by-step notes to reproduce a bug/test a feature
- Take quick notes during a meeting
- Take quick notes when watching a video
I’d love to hear your feedback and how you would use it!
Thanks for posting this xanderlewis!
