Sidebar: Doesn't this tell us something else? That is, history is preserved by those who can affor. - financially, physically and/or via other privilege - to preserve it. This isn't only true today. It's been true since human have been preserving history.


OTOH you can publish information for free in various ways then ask the Internet Archive to preserve it for free.


Persuming it remains physically and financially viable. Presuming you have internet access to initiate the request. Presuming you're not working three jobs and have the time to do so. Etc. Etc. Etc.

History is "owned" by those with the most privilege, regardless of era. Ask yourself...do the American Indians celebrate Thanksgiving? And how much thought was put into their side of the story this past weekend?


as long as the internet archive isn't sued into oblivion by various rightsholders / right to be forgotten regs, etc
