In Sweden, the big problem are grenades smuggled in vast quantities from the Balkans.

Explosions tend to be vastly less precise than shootings and unintended victims are more of a rule than an exception.




Seems there have been 77 grenade explosions resulting in 9 fatalities in 6 years with grenades in Sweden. That doesn't seem like "vast quantities".


In neighboring countries the number is zero, and that sounds vastly preferable.


OK, add improvised explosive devices to the mix. Some of those are remade from grenades.

Czechia has the same population as Sweden. Such series of intentional explosions would be considered insane here.

Trends matter, too. Sweden used to be known as the country where people don't lock their doors. Very high trust societies are rare and their demise due to rising crime is harmful to entire humanity.
