Seeking advice about crypto payment processing
1 point by hvuhsg 7 months ago | hide | past | favorite | 1 comment
I'm running an e-commerce store and I'm interested in enabling cryptocurrency payments. After conducting some research, I came across services like Coinbase that handle the checkout process. However, I've noticed that they require company documents, which I don't possess. Moreover, I prefer to have clients send funds directly to my wallet.

Are you aware of any services that allow me to configure multiple wallets for various cryptocurrencies and manage the checkout experience while also confirming the transactions?

I'm open to any insights on why I should or shouldn't pursue this approach.

I don't know anybody using crypto for payments in the real world for a store,it's mostly and primarily used for for price speculation, pump and dumps and enabling ransomware for criminals. It doesn't make sense to do so.

It is far too volatile for e-commerce and stablecoins are too risky to do business with, in addition to the regulatory and accounting headache, is not worth it for any small or big business so I don't think there is any reason to use crypto even if you are a KYC'd business.

Instead focus on offering popular payment processing which people use like PayPal, Apple Pay, Cash App or even Fednow or other better more secure and trusted payment rails.
