Awfully specific fear.

I agree that AI use for surveillance needs to be limited for facial and emotional recognition, although I don't see the EU being constructive here. They want to surveil text chats and introduce an internet ID. In the background of that they just could go home because they already failed enormously to protect any civil liberties.


How much of the feeling that something is 'lacking democratic oversight' is really just latency?

These significant changes coming from the EU on AI are most likely to be felt like an imposition but of course the policy decisions are being made by democratically elected representatives who won their seats years ago
