Google is tweaking Chrome's search bar to make it easier to navigate the web (theverge.com)

Google siphons up reams of data it shouldn't have because Chrome is the default in scores of libraries and government facilities, passing data to brokers that makes it harder to navigate the web and easier to keep people in the fiedoms of Musk, Zuck, and... whichever Google founder people weren't complaining keeps trying to get them do go to his yacht discos.

It's ok to treat yourself, the issue is if someone wants to sit and read in the corner and they don't get the same wealth as the person who let them be grinded on by some creep like the world is the worst kind of techno bar.
