This would be a great boon for smart home applications of since right. Being able to put sensors wherever without having to cable or charge them would be an obvious use that could lead to other users once the transmitter is in place. And surely they could put it in a light socket once the tech matures a bit.

I'm pretty hopeful about this tech so long as they make mostly dumb transmitters that don't require internet connectivity or have vendor lock-in


I'm very skeptical about any of these systems ever being practical, or even getting out of prototype stage.
