I love how they opened this, just so they can bury decade-old discussions on features that have occurred on the mailing list and Bugzilla.

You can't succeed as an open source project if you're not committed to engaging with the outside developers sending you patches, and giving them no meaningful feedback on why the ticket for the patch is zombie-open for years.
You call it 4D Chess, I call it mismanagement. Google, just happens, to be bankrolling the mismanagement by buying their monopoly in the search world.
This is the currently most requested feature on this page. I guess the page is more of a "Vote on Firefox Features (that we actually want to implement)" rather than actually doing what the users want.
This social media platform, while it's styled with Mozilla CSS, is a product made by Khoros. From what I can tell, they're a company that makes these gray label discussion boards and social media apps for other companies.
Unfortunately it's a proprietary solution. I was a little surprised to find that Khoros has over 1k employees; this product can't be cheap.
