Does anyone know if the opposite of this exists -- a way to run Snow Leopard or Mavericks etc on newer machines?

Only in a VM, I think.

But of course you can use ancient Hackintosh methods to hack SL onto a PC. The snag is that they can only run a handful of specialist browsers, making them very limited.

And of course quite a lot of security holes...
