Java Is Not Dead yet Why Is Java So Popular Even in 2023? (stratoflow.com)

Those who complain about dependency hell in Java haven't tried JavaScript/npm. And those who complain about a complex static type system in Java haven't tried TypeScript.

So true!

To me, log4j exemplifies why Java is not dead. Super complicated for what it does, with plenty of much better replacements for years, and yet still there because enterprise dev shops know it, and imagine that any other ecosystem will be just as hard so why bother changing or even trying something new.
