Yeah. It’s a very limited product for pre-mapped freeways during traffic jams, so there is always someone in front of you anyway. Traffic jams are very unpleasant and relatively easy to automate so it seem like a good place to start.
However by assuming legal liability and going thru the L3 regulatory process this is really helping push the impact of the technology forward. Legal and regulatory issues will be huge barriers to greater adoption once the technical issues are finally solved.
