I really wish there was sigstore/let's encrypt for code signing even with a sub $50/year free. a few years ago code signing certs were like $50 to $75 a year now they are all $300+

I'm not sure I understand: code signing with Sigstore is free, when you use the public instance. Is someone charging you for it?
