Being a team without knowledgeable and experienced people sucks, so I don’t blame them.

People tend to be a net negative for a while if they require training.


That’s true. I was in a club like this that had a lot of broad interest from the campus community, despite the club’s topic being highly technical and specialized. We ended up making two breakout sessions, one for beginners and one for journeymen. It was much more engaging for both groups and provided a route for more experienced people to give back.


My first thought: What's the process for forming Yet Another Club at Yale? Once I learn that, I'll form the "How to Form a Club" Club.
