It's cute. Perhaps it's more of something you find on the tables of a sandwich shop to pass the time.

The Capitol Hill Citizen and ProPublica seem more respectable and influential as research-oriented journalism for underappreciated, important topics.

Ralph Nader's papers, The Capitol Hill Citizen and The Winsted Citizen are monthly broadsheets.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Around here we have a "newspaper" (https://territorialnewspapers.com/) that's mostly distributed in free boxes at local restaurants; it seems to be various articles on regional historic figures and a lot of ads.

One of the things I learned from Benjamin Franklin’s excellent autobiography is that newspapers are always and everywhere vanity projects. The benefit is not directly economic but rather in reach and influence. After all what good is freedom of the press if you haven’t got a press?

Wonder if they’ll go back on their print-only stance. Kirn was very adamant that it would never be online when he was plugging it on America This Week, but for myself I’m wholly uninterested in “the newspaper experience” but would still like to read the articles given the chance.
