the dystopian nightmare of state-controlled restricted movement because of (fill in scary threat) is increasingly becoming a reality. that said, driving down the road it seems like 20% of drivers are glued to their phones and one evasive braking action away from slamming into my car with my kids in it. We should try and solve for both. More police? Faster deployment of driverless cars?
The police already have access to a ton of cameras everywhere (which I do agree is bad)! The only thing changing here is that they are now using those cameras to stop maniacs on the road.
