Why an unremarkable racist enjoyed the backing of billionaires (nytimes.com)

It always amazes me that modern conservatives are so willing to say the quiet parts out loud. The guy portrayed in this article sounds like he came out of the South of a hundred years ago. It amazes me that anybody could believe this crap, let alone say it in public and publish it.

He's sometimes a tad trollish, but you'd probably learn much more about the world from Hanania's Twitter feed [1] and Substack [2] than you would from the entirety of content produced by the NY Times. Especially if you live inside a left-wing bubble.

He also has an upcoming book, which has a good chance of becoming a bestseller. [3][4]

Hopefully, all the pushes for cancelling him will trigger the Streisand effect. [5]

Are you his mom? agent? H himself? "a tad trollish" is really a hoot. So is the notion his upcoming book "has a good chance of becoming a bestseller": its commercial performance won't prove the worth of its ideas, just that there's an audience for pompous would-be eugenicists.

Sadly just another NYT hit piece in its opinion section
