As an enthusiast I have to say that was a thoroughly soporific selection, not improved much by the captions.


I love that first banner/last photo "46th Street, New York City, 1976" - in fact I have a print in my dining room that Joel traded me for hosting his first Web site back in the 1990s. The others I agree are underwhelming – maybe this new book is meant to leave out his Cape Light masterpieces to flesh out the rest of his career?


I'm a big Meyerowitz fan and, yeah, I think they could have chosen a better selection of photos to represent his work. Who knows, perhaps they were chosen by him - what do I know.

I've found the breadth and diversity of his work impressive. I have also thoroughly enjoyed listening to him talk about his work and his approach.
