What AI will do is facilitate the creative process. Instead of painstakingly creating variations. AI will present us with ALL the variations. That, in a nutshell, is the power of generative AI.
In theory, for the studios who care about good products, yes. I really do look forward to making a good base (say, a rigged 3d model) and having AI fix the seams in a skin or add some extra little flair to an animation. Those will be very nice accompaniments to what is currently very tedious tasks to hand fix.
But I think we both know how and where large copoprate entities are going to use these tools. They made it very clear given their whole refusal to deal with unions thing.
