On: SearXNG – a free internet metasearch engine

Not quite sure if it addresses the same-ip bot issue, but I have my self-hosted instance setup for searxng to use a VPN. Then access it via Tailscale.

All click-throughs will the use whatever IP my web browser while the results are pulled in via the VPN IP.
