I think this person is against the cottage industry that's popped up around the idea itself?
The core concept of "design thinking" isn't that wild — figure out what ails people, and design / build stuff that people need/want that makes their lives better. Then there's a bunch of tactics to go into how to do that.
I don't really understand the hype around it- seems like consultants and institutions have taken it on as the next big thing to squeeze a buck from it, but the core concepts and tactics are really useful for those who like building products for real users and use cases.
