It's a decent article, but sort of weird that the takeaway was "don't do two jobs at once" instead of "don't create a lab organization in which falsifying data is okay."

I can see how the two are related, but emphasizing the one on top of the other seems a like the author may be missing the point.


I doubt that falsifying data was "okay", just unnoticed. A systemic managerial failure, rather than a rotten culture per-se.
