I was underlining the structural differences stemming from Parliamentary sovereignty, not offering it as an answer to anything regarding the US.


Thanks I guess, but in that case I'm confused how the UK was at all relevant to the discussion.


The US is a former English colony and much of our law is based on/has its origin in English common law. When the framers were writing the constitution they were trying to fix many of the perceived problems with the Westminster system
