I'm one of those 3% but I'm not very happy with what's happened with My Opensource But Out of Linux Kernel Tree Realtek WiFi Driver Package! And that has gotten replaced after a Kernel Update with some not so good RealTek WiFi driver that's Now In Kernel Tree but has a bad case of narcolepsy and goes to sleep randomly to save on power usage and then loses WiFi connectivity.
So now I have to manually toggle the WiFi Off/On to get that to wake up there and reconnect as the WiFi management app in Linux Mint really lacks the smarts to notice that the WiFi has lost connectivity there and to initiate some action automatically to reestablish connectivity on it's own. And on Windows if the WiFi connectivity is poor and the bandwidth is too low I get some popup warning there or some Trey Icon indication that things are not as well as far as WiFi connectivity is concerned but that Linux Mint WiFi App/Applet really is Dumb there and lacks the proper level of end user indicators and some times it can not even properly indicate if it's connected or not(0% to 100% is meaningless there) regardless of the Tray Icon's appearance with or without any mouse hover!
And it's all these minor annoyances on Linux that add up there as to why Linux on the desktop is only at 3% after 3 Decades.
