At this point just get together like 20 companies with a vested interest in ARM being a non profit and buy ARM from Softbank.. ARM charging more and more to show growth for their chips will have an obvious effect on prices of chips across huge industries.. this won’t end well.. the only real outcome we can expect from this is a dramatic acceleration of switching everything to riscV..

Reading this, and feels like the below scenarios will play out across more market segments. Unless it's about intentionally make A.I. training drastically more expensive than it is now - it's ok nvidia you're doing it for the good of us all to shield us from those pesky dangerous A.I.'s, right? [/sarcasm]

> One person familiar with the plans said Arm was keen to bring in Nvidia in its bid as a way to position AI as central to the UK group’s growth plans. “AI will be every third word in the offering document,” the person said. “Nvidia is so important as its involvement implies AI.”

Son hyping the Arm IPO as an AI investment? Seriously? Well perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

At this point, it doesn't even matter whatever happens to ARM: RISC-V is inevitable.
