It could just be that the comment was deliberately vague and contained nothing but innuendo.

HN gets these kinds of comments all the time, on all sorts of topics: "I know the answer but I can't say it because I'll get downvoted..." and "We're not allowed to talk about the truth, but we all know what it is..." and "Without going into details, I'll just say the article is wrong." These kinds of comments add absolutely nothing to the conversation, and I'd say flagging is 100% appropriate.

If one has something to say, say it clearly or don't bother posting.
