I went to the site and then clicked the fake "back" button to see if I could get a sense of mastadon discussions. It's literally all just people taking jabs at Twitter. Ignoring the other challenges, that doesn't feel like an interesting community to join, it feels like an opposition that defines itself by not being something.

You really came to an impression of the community based on extrapolating this weekend's discussion to be the norm, immediately after Twitter broke itself to a degree unprecedented in large social network history?
