When I read it in the title I though it could be some version of a regex like F.*spez - without context who knows. There's all sorts of new internet controversy every day. It's hard to keep up. If you know what spez is then it's obvious.
I could understand the outrage if someone typed a long thought out comment and just signed "sincerely, fuck spez" as a mild protest and it got removed.
But that's not what's happening. The removed comments were just a variation of "fuck spez", sometimes with a pun. Just look at the comments on this very thread, just chains of "fuck spez". It's childish and very annoying, it is literally spam and if the mods refuse to treat it as such then I'm all for admin intervention.
Sure, and in many subreddits the moderators would remove comments like that. But what's notable about this incident is that admins are taking the unusual action of removing comments.
