Although, to be sure, the response from management et al will almost definitely indicate that this isn't what they were looking for at all.

[I know an electrical engineer who was part of a team that provided an engine control component to a customer and their response was that even though the component 100% meets all of the requirements they told them about it apparently didn't conform to the requirements that they were not told about (or perhaps that the customer was unaware of)]




My name is Scott Williamson, and I don't know the definition of a line.

And while it's possible (likely?) that management also doesn't know what the definition of 'line' is either, I'm pretty sure nobody agrees those green lines are red.

A frequent problem in requirements communication is when the customer aggressively insists that they understand all of the definitions you are using ("I'm not an idiot."), they don't actually mean the same thing you mean by them.
