Hi HN - I built a website (zoney.io), an easy way for you to view your college timezone and discuss which time is suitable for a meeting.
So I guess I start with the problem. I have been working remotely for a couple of years and have college from all around the world. One thing that is always a hassle is when we want to have a meeting and we need to decide on a date and time.
This is because everybody would say it in their own timezone and we have to convert it into our local time ourselves.
At some point instead of saying the time we would just say "6 hours from now" which works if the meeting is only a couple of hours away. Even then I still need to add 6 hour from my local time.
So zoney.io is an attempt to solve this problem.
How it works:
1. Create a room.
2. Share the link with the person you want to schedule a meeting.
3. Once they enter the room, you can view their time and timezone.
4. Select what you think is the best time for everyone and they would be able to see it in real-time. You can then have a discussion based on the selected time to see which one is suitable the most.
