Hyundai to consider joining Tesla's North American charging standard alliance (reuters.com)

The additional issue for Hyundai that most other EVs aren't dealing with is that the Supercharger v3 hardware can't match eGMP's pack voltage.

Until Tesla has widely installed v4 chargers in the US the charging experience for Hyundai (and Kia and Genesis) vehicles would be much slower than it is on Electrify America.


A Kia EV6 can only get 42 kW out of a V4 charger at present:

The V4 charger is even outperformed by a Tesla V2 Charger.


Huh, I wonder what other problem it’s having. CCS implementation issues perhaps?
