It's times like this I feel ashamed to be a part of the human race.


Amen. I feel disgusted to be a part of a species that despite its extraordinary intelligence lacks basic empathy for other creatures.


Tragically, empathy's always been in short supply. One only has to look at news from Ukraine to see perpetrators don't give a shit for the suffering of their victims. It's so damn depressing.
